Another 2'sday

blogger

Thought #1:How much of our lives do we actually spend acting?
...And not necessarily theatrical acting. I was thinking the other day of how I act around my friends and I realized that often times, I will put on a face for my friends. If I'm not really happy, I'll put on a face because I don't want my friends to worry. How many times do we do that in life...

Thought #2:I'm still trying to discover who I am...
...And that's OK! I think that the longer it takes for us as people to decide who we are and who we will become, the better! To be completely sure of yourself, you need time to develop who you are.

Well, they were short this week, maybe I'll have something better next week. (By the way, this is just my opinion so it's OK to disagree with anything I say.)

The wait.

It's been about two weeks sense I put my request in for a book from Book Sneeze, and I'm getting very worried actually... My book has not come yet. Without the book I don't know how I can review it! I'm sorry for the delay, but my book is not here yet and there is nothing I can do...

2'sday

blogger
I've decided to try this. I'm not entirely sure if it will work, but I can try. This is 2'sday, so here are my two thoughts.

Thought #1: We are like oranges.
I know this sounds strange, but please bear with me for a moment. This past week, I was at home a lot. I was just sitting, peeling an orange. I have trouble peeling oranges. they always get stuck to the rind or they tear or something. So I looked at the orange, and something clicked in my mind: we are like oranges. What I mean is that we are the yummy fruit of the orange and we are wrapped in sin, which is the rind. When God "peels" the "sin" off of us, we get stuck to it and often it's hard to separate us from that sin. We end up as a torn piece of fruit, but God will still love us anyways.

Thought #2: You can't change your past...
... But you can change (or at least influence) your future. I was thinking the other day about all the mistakes I've made and everything that I think has gone completely wrong. I told my brother what I was thinking and he said to me, "You know, you can't change that stuff. What you can do is change your future and make it what you want it to be." I thought about that for another day or so, and I've come to the conclusion that this life is what you make of it. You have to work hard and make your future something great, and knowing that is really important to me.

So, that's what I've got for you for this 2'sday. I hope these thoughts can affect you somehow. They sure have affected me.

it's NOT about ME

it's NOT about ME
by Michelle Sutton

Annie is a people-pleaser. She has lived all her life doing whatever someone told her to do simply because she wanted to please people. Because of this she rarely has troubles, so her life is pretty much picture perfect. However, one night, all of this changes. Annie's world is thrown entirely upside down and she must find what she's been missing her whole life. Annie must find what can heal her, as well as everyone around her, from the inside.

This book was actually difficult for me to read. A lot of action happened within the first 65 pages, and it continued throughout the book. Multiple times while reading, I found myself putting the book down so that my head could stop spinning. Michelle Sutton has captured how a person thinks and reacts to devastating events well. it's NOT about ME is a good book, but I would only recommend it to mature readers due to some of the content.

Book provided by the author.

Updates!

Good morning, or evening (depending), and hello from me. Now that that's out of the way...

I've requested my first book from Book Sneeze, and now all I have to do is wait... I don't necessarily like to wait. The book is Sarah's Garden by Kelly Long. I hope it gets here soon so I can read it and tell you all about it!!! ^-^

In the meantime, I finished the book it's NOT about ME, and some friends have (in a round-about way) forced me to review it, even though I'm not entirely sure... So that should come later in the week.

Well, that's all I have for now, so look out for a possible review later in the week and hope that I get my book! :D

Alright!

I just looked at my E-mail and lo-and-behold, BOOK SNEEZE ACCEPTED ME!!!

It's rather exciting to be accepted to review books. It's an honor in my opinion, but that's because I'm weird. :)

So, I will hopefully get my first book soon. In the meantime, I'm reading a book called it's NOT about ME by Michelle Sutton. I don't think I'll review it, but I'll read it as something to fill the space between now and when I get the first book to review!

Well, that's about all. I'm hoping that you'll hear from me soon!

Welcome to Unlimited Random!

As I said, welcome!

So, I'm trying to use this blog as motivation to read more because I have a friend who reviews books and I think that it's really cool. Hopefully I can spend more time reading this summer. So, if all goes as planned, I will be reviewing books here. I will also post randomness from time to time.
